The plain version
We collect almost nothing. If you email us or ask for the free guide, we keep your name and email so we can send you what you asked for and, now and then, news about the book, talks, and caregiver resources. We never sell your information. You can leave the list or ask us to delete your information any time with one email.
Who we are
This website belongs to Shantelle "S. LadyBug" Brumfield and Believe In What You Dream, the nonprofit home of THEY ARE NOT COMING. You can reach us any time at info@believeinwhatyoudream.org.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you email us, request the free Home Emergency Care Plan, or sign up for updates, we receive what you share: usually your name and email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- Basic technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify you.
This site does not set advertising cookies, does not run ad trackers, and does not ask for payment information. Book purchases happen on our publisher's and retailers' own websites, not here.
How we use what you share
- To send you what you asked for, like the free guide.
- To answer your messages.
- To send occasional updates about the book, talks, workshops, and caregiver resources, only if you signed up for them.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never rent or trade our list.
- We never send you someone else's marketing.
Where your information lives
Our website is served by our hosting provider, and our email and contact list live with the email services we use to write to you. These companies process your information on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it.
Links to other places
This site links out to other companies, including our publisher (Curry Brothers Publishing), Amazon, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Your choices and rights
- Leave the list: every update email includes an unsubscribe link, or just reply and say so.
- See or delete your information: email us and we will tell you what we have, correct it, or delete it.
- California residents have these rights under California law, and we honor them for everyone, everywhere.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here with a new effective date. We will not quietly change what we do with what you have already shared.
